The FSR Project Coordinator will, under minimal supervision, be responsible for supporting and managing customer order requirements at designated ports throughout the America's Region. The FSR Project Coordinator position can operate in a very international environment, both in the region and with colleagues in other locations. The position is ultimately responsible for the fulfillment of customer orders in the ports, both equipment and services. This can be done from our own Fire, Safety & Rescue location, the relevant Authorized Service Provider (ASP), or from third party vendors.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders from Customer Service Representative (CSR) through to delivery/service locations 
  • Process required paperwork to arrange products/services from one location to another, including across international borders
  • Purchase required products as required to fill customer orders 
  • Communicate with Customer Service department, Account Centers and Account Managers to advise on status of customer orders 
  • Process orders from vendors, create documents within VIPS, create delivery receipts as well as processing all documents created through "Drew Apps"
  • Conduct inventory at assigned locations
  • Process transfers from warehouse 
  • Shipping - basic documentation preparation and handling 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills: 

  • Up to 2 years in a customer service, purchasing or inside sales role within the maritime industry 
  • Proficient with all Office software products (Word, Excel, etc.) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Customer service orientation 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Supply chain experience 
  • Export experience - basic documentation preparation and handling
  • Purchasing experience - transactional 
  • Ability to work with different cultures 
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, time controlled environment; ability to multi-task

Education/Certifications:

  • High School diploma and/or degree in Business

Physical Working Environment:

 

The position works in a climate controlled office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
