The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties.

    Responsibilities

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities: ? Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods (equipment, tooling, and materials) ? Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency ? Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods ? Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of materials, equipment, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards ? Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions ? Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, product schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes ? Update assembly instructions and methods ? Other duties and tasks may be assigned

    Qualifications

    Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills: ? 5+ years� related functional experience ? Must have experience in fixture design, electrical design, mechanical measurement equipment, pneumatics, PLC�s, programming, CAD and basic machine shop equipment and use ? Must have thorough understanding of LEAN Manufacturing Principles and experience in their implementation ? Must be familiar with robotics and their application ? Must be a �hands on� individual with the ability to work diectly and effectively with production personnel ? Strong verbal and written communication skills Education/Certifications: ? Bachelor�s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, Solid Works experience is required, design experience is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience Physical Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may sometimes be loud.
