    The Electrical Engineer will research, design, develop, document, and test electronic components, products, and systems.

    Responsibilities

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Design and qualify electronic circuits, components, and systems utilizing discrete components and integrated circuits and incorporating surface mounted components on printed circuit board substrates 
    • Develop technical user and maintenance manuals for products 
    • Direct field operations and maintenance of electronic products 
    • Evaluate operational systems and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunction, to accommodate changes in product requirements, and to improve manufacturability 
    • Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks 
    • Other duties and tasks may be assigned

    Qualifications

    Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

    • 3+ years related functional experience or a combination of 4 year degree and signficant internship projects
    • Experience with RF circuit design of receivers and transmitters in 100 MHz to 2.5 GHz range
    • Experience with phase locked loop design for frequency control and modulation/demodulation
    • Experience with circuit simulation using Spice\par 
    • Programming in a contemporary compiled basic language (Turbo Basic, Power Basic, and Visual Basic)

    Education/Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on RF and modulation/demodulation techniques, required; Master's degree preferred
